This year I decided to host a Friendsgiving which became a Friends…giving! Literally this dinner became a fundraiser in efforts to collect funds for Nokidhungry.org. My goal was $500 & I was able to raise $595 with the help of some incredible people of course!

I started planning late October when I decided to actually host it. Since I didn’t have a certain date in mind or specific number of guess I wanted to invite it, I had more wiggle room. So the first thing on my to do list was finding a venue. When I finally found a nice space I was able to finalize a day & time. Now the fun begins! Since I’ve had all the important details the next step was simple…invitation time! There are several programs you can use for that my favorites are canva & paperlesspost. Once I had a proper invitation I created a eventbrite & a google doc. The eventbrite helped get the word out and also allowed me to have a semi accurate guestlist. I used Googledocs to create a sign-up sheet for items the guest would bring since the event was a potluck.
Most of the decor ideas I found on Pintrest & added my own spin to it. I Iove DIY’s so Pintrest is right up my alley. I’m the type of person to pin a million things & try to produce them all. Blame the virgo in me. Here’s the link to the actual board I created.
